We can't thank ALL of our donors enough for supporting this program. We are overwhelmed with the generosity of our Canyon Creek community. Our Holiday Elves are currently working on sorting the gifts and putting together food bags & grocery gift cards for the families we are helping this year. We will (of course) still accept donations to this program - the links below will just allow for any amount of donation. We will bring back the fun "sponsorship levels" next year!!
This is a TOUGH year for a lot of families and we need your help to support some of our Canyon Creek families. Our Helping Hands Program helps families in our Canyon Creek Elementary Community!
This year, due to concerns with COVID-19 AND the early winter break, unfortunately we won't be able to post the Wishlists for people to help purchase items. However, we are collecting monetary donations to help fulfill wishlists and we have a small group that will be shopping (mostly online probably) to fulfill the requests using the money donated.
Examples of items requested are: kids shoes, kid & adult clothes, toys, socks, and wrapping paper.
We are shopping for 16 Canyon Creek families -- 59 individuals! We expect to spend $30 on each person. Just based on last year's numbers, we probably need around $1700 for the wishlists. Oh, and we hope to provide each family a bag of food and a grocery gift card! Just in case you are wondering, we plan to provide grocery gift cards or food bags for mid-winter break AND spring break -- so any unused donations will be put to good use helping Canyon Creek families!!
For a little holiday fun, we have created giving levels to help you know what your donation will do. There are a variety of levels available as well as an "Any Amount" option! Here are some examples (but there are lots more):

Your donation may be eligible for corporate match if your company participates in a matching gift program. Some examples of companies who have programs are: Starbucks, Microsoft, Boeing, Alaska Airlines, Wells Fargo, Apple, Google and many more.
Our PTA and Canyon Creek Elementary are teaming up again to offer this confidential program for our school families in need. Requests for needs can be confidentially made directly to Sue Hanson, Canyon Creek Elementary Office Manager (or via the Google Form in this article).
This is a year long program and we are hoping to provide holiday meals & grocery gift cards, fulfill wishlists for the winter break holidays, and more.
